Downtown Disney

Pretty much every week, there are danceable bands that play outside at Downtown Disney. I will list “Downtown Disney” (which is outside the park and doesn’t require admission) separately from “Disney Fantasy Faire” (which is inside the park and requires admission) in the Lindy Calendar. Please don’t confuse the two! Turnout has been pretty good for these, so usually no partner needed!

Before spending a lot of money or making a long drive, please check the Disney Resort Dance Band Schedule Facebook Page for the latest updates.  (My calendar cannot automatically read that page, so changes may not be reflected in my calendar).

Unfortunately, parking is no longer free for two hours, but you can get validation if you purchase something.

Please buy food or drinks at one of the restaurants if you go. DTD Management did a survey and found no increase in merchant revenue on Swing nights. Let’s keep swing dancing alive at the Disneyland resort, whether it is inside the park or outside.

  1. Hello, I have a big group of swing dancers wanting to come join you for your downtown disney nights. However, on the calendar I don’t see any downtown Disney nights for November. Do they take a break for the holiday months or have those date not been put in yet? Thank you!

    1. Hi Alissa,

I don’t have the dates for November yet. They usually come out at the beginning of the month. Please check back.

      Thanks,
      Brian

  3. Thanks for your kind words about our event. Our goal at Downtown Disney Swing is to create a fun and festive atmosphere for all levels of dancer. Its also about showcasing OUR music and OUR dance to the MILLIONS of people who visit the Downtown Disney District year round. Swing dance has not had this kind of visibility in many years. Its how we grow our dance family. Thank you to all who come out to support our event and our cause.

    1. Michael and Olivia,

Thank you for your post and for keeping swing dancing alive at Downtown Disney! I completely agree with your attitude about keeping swing dancing alive and I’m thankful for for what you are doing there. Let me know if I can help publicize swing dancing at Disneyland in any way.

      Thanks,
      Brian
