Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association (PBDA)

The Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association (PBDA) is a large, friendly, non-intimidating, family-run weekly event that has been going on for years. There are plenty of partners of varying skill levels. The people here are novice to intermediate dancers with a few advanced if the band is good. There is a wide variation of ages, from high school to retired folks. Happens nearly every Saturday night. They also have a large number of swing and Lindy classes throughout the week.

For more information on the thirty-year history of PBDA, check out my exclusive interview with Tami Stevens, who founded it with her sister Erin.

When: Most Saturdays, free lesson at 7:30-8PM, dancing at 8:00-11:30PM.
Cost: $15-$20
Crowd: Mostly beginner through intermediate with some advanced if the band is good, lots of partners.
Dress: Mostly casual; a few might dress vintage.
Grace Hall, 73 N. Hill Ave., Pasadena
