  1. Hi Brian, my name is Max Sinitsa and I’m a professional American smooth dancer. I have organized a dance camp in October and we will have Benji SCHWIMMER as one of the coaches. If we can spread the word in the swing community that would be greatly appreciated and of course we would love to see some swing dancers there. Thank u so much

  2. This roots music mashup features three bands with a dance floor and a great menu, and we present it cabaret style so patrons are seated to enjoy the show. Also, the Campus JAX sound system is the best in SoCal while the menu just rocks (entree required, starts at just $10). On top of that. we stream our show worldwide.

    Here’s the lineup:

The Southwest Biscuit Company follows a long proud tradition of western bands of the 40s and 50s playing great Western Swing dance music that keeps you on the dance floor from the first song until the last. Playing classics like Bob Wills and Billy Jack Wills, Hank Penny, Tennessee Ernie Ford, as well as contemporaries like The Lucky Stars, The B-stars, Big Sandy and many others, you will find you enjoy their originals just as much.

The Moontones are LA’s hottest dance band. It’s a big band with a big following, and yes – they have horns! Lead singer for this show is Miss Kitty, and this band will have the dance floor jumpin’!

Jimmy Dale Richardson brings new life to traditional Honky Tonk, Rockabilly, and jump blues. Jimmy Dale’s original music is rooted in tradition by his grandfather Hubert Pearce, who is cousins with both Webb Pierce & The Wilburn Brothers. In 2019, Jimmy won the “Rockabilly Male” award at the Ameripolitan Awards in Memphis. With Reverend Horton Heat, Jimmy released obscure roots music he recorded in the late 90s. The “Dallas Barbershop Sessions” climbed to #9 on the Alt Country Charts.

All our artists have been selected to perform the previous week at Viva Las Vegas, so this is likely to sell out FAST.

  3. https://bit.ly/LOUIS-PRIMA-JR-CABARET-SHOW
Louis Prima Jr Returns To Campus JAX!
Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses Bring The Swingin’est Rock Band In The World to Campus Jax in Newport Beach!

Born into an undeniable musical legacy, Louis Prima Jr. picks up the torch lit by his iconic father and leads his incarnation of The Witnesses headfirst into the future. Their seamless blend of hard driving big band jazz, insanely danceable swing and, at its core, real rock and roll has been wowing crowds worldwide for over a decade.

Make no mistake, this is no tribute act. Although the band most certainly Jumps, Jives, an’ Wails “Prima-style,” they are their own musical beast — thoroughly modern, laying down a blueprint for the future on the foundations of the past.

Audiences will be treated to an evening of classics from the Louis Prima catalog, selections from LPJ & Co.’s two CDs (Return of the Wildest! and BLOW) and a healthy dose of sure-to-please surprises.

PLUS – Marco Palos appears on lead saxophone – always a treat.

Equal parts bandleader and ringmaster, Prima Jr. brilliantly distills the finest elements of his father’s five-decade career through a contemporary filter, adding his own indelible stamp. “This is the happiest music on Earth!” he enthuses. “My father was rock n’ roll; Mozart was rock n’ roll. It’s a state of mind; I don’t think it’s a genre of music. It’s how aggressively do you play and do you play it like you mean it.” And The Witnesses mean it. From Passaic to Palermo and Seattle to Sicily, they’re bringing Prima music into the 21st century with new energy and attitude to match.

It’s The Wildest Show this side of the ’60s!

Note – one entree required per person.
    Dance floor is open.

  4. Like the speakeasies of old, Campus JAX is a supper club with great entertainment – like this Luke
Carlsen & the Fresh Rhythm big band cabaret Show at JAX.
Enter and be led to your table with a full menu, cocktails and good view of the stage.
Your server will be attentive and efficient – and you will be able to relax and let the music flow over you – and dance.

Enjoy entrees starting at $10. JAX specializes in shrimp dishes and has plenty of vegetarian options too. One entree is required.

Luke Carlsen and The Fresh Rhythm band started out in the Orange County area as a quintet called Five Got Rhythm before being contacted by Sony Publishing to record new versions of “Sing, Sing, Sing” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing.”

Since then, the band grew to 11 instruments and Luke and the Fresh Rhythm have been regulars at the Disneyland Resort’s Saturday night Swing night, Vibrato in Bel-Air, and Clifton’s and Cicada Club in DTLA.

Luke and the band have also been featured, most recently, on HBO’s Perry Mason Pilot Episode. You can hear Luke’s latest EP “My Love” and he is delivering new recordings soon.

This is a cabaret show at Newport Beach’s only supper club with full menu, waitstaff and great sound. The dance floor is open. Full Covid protocols are in effect.

Free parking, all ages, freeway close near John Wayne airport.

Sat. Sept. 25 at 7 pm. (Doors at 6 pm)
