GRACE FAE & THE GRANDBIRDS make their Moose Debut!
Playing jazz standards from the 1930s-40s & with Grace’s warm classic sound like Peggy Lee, with some fun Ella Fitzgerald style scatting. Musicians include dancer favorite Tsugumi Shikano on drums, virtuoso Ian Solomon on upright bass, and the incredible Wayne Wilentz on piano, with some possible special guests! The Grandbirds are a classic vintage jazz band, specializing in danceable swing dance tempos that should get the floor hoppin’!
Dj Little Red kicks off the night with her brand of fiery, danceable tunes that will keep the dance floor full all night!

About the Venue: Burbank Moose Lodge

This fraternal lodge is similar to others in Los Angeles where many Swing dances are held. It’s got a nice wood floor and lots of space to dance.

They have Swing dances most Friday nights. First Fridays feature DJs with special theme for the night, while other Fridays usually feature a popular live band. Dancer turnout is usually good!

They also offer complimentary popcorn and treats and an “open play” pool table (free pool).

Crowd Hard-core intermediate and advanced Swing dancers. The Lodge does have an all-ages policy and they do allow younger people to attend the dances. However, they ask that anyone under the age of 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
