With his swingin’ synchopation that’s reminiscent of the music from nearly 100 years ago, Petunia specializes in a wide variety of musical genres including Hot Jazz, Swing and Vintage R&B.
It’s guaranteed to make you want to dance.
Petunia and his Vipers thrive on the challenge of adding Latin rhythms to a country blues tune, or gypsy flavoring to a rockabilly standard.
They play original music combining elements of classic 1920s jazz through 70s country, country blues, western swing, alt country rock, Mexicana, French cabaret, Romanian, ragtime, jazz, punk and folk music. And they do a few classic covers as well!

There will be no opening band – so arrive in time to have a bite and enjoy the 2-set show at 5 pm with the great sound, fast service and comfortable seats at Campus JAX.

“Newport Beach’s only supper club”, Campus JAX features cabaret-style shows with dining, dancing, and seating at tables or the bar in an intimate listening room.
Christopher Burkardt’s Stellar Shows (some of you may remember their shows at Don the Beachcomber) puts on a good number of Swing-danceable bands there every month. There is a large stage and good dance floor.
It is a supper club so a purchase is required, but there is no drink minimum. Food is Cajun/Creole and gets an impressive four-and-a-half stars on Yelp. Dinner prices range from $10-$18. Of course, there’s also a full bar.
They put out multiple water tanks for dancers. Everybody has a seat – but you need not stay in your seats!
